Every year underneath the 100-year-old oak and magnolia trees in Columbus, Texas, the community gathers to celebrate the Magnolia Days Festival. As the perfect summertime event for children and parents, the festival is a step back in time for citizens. The history of the area is celebrated year-round, but this is one day to really soak it all in. As a sponsor of the event, Cavender Chevrolet Buick GMC invites you to this year’s event on May 14-15, but before that we want to give you the lowdown on what to expect.
Throughout the entire weekend, you have many concerts to look forward to! There will be live music and performances on both days, which provides the perfect opportunity for a dance party with your family. On top of the shows, there’s also a Vendor Marketplace that will be set up, so you can browse little trinkets from handmade jewelry all the way to fresh-poured candles. Take a walk up and down and see what fun and exciting things you can find! And if you’re still itching to shop afterward, head to one of the many downtown shops that will be open all day.
Food ‘n Drink
When you think of a traditional festival, a few foods probably come to mind: kettle corn, sno cones, cotton candy, etc… We’ve got it all! Plus more. Carb-lovers and those with a sweet tooth alike will find plenty to eat, so you can count on leaving with happy bellies. For the adults, there is also a Biergarten and Wine Garden where refreshments will be served. There’s a snack or a drink for everyone to enjoy.

For The Kids
One of the most exciting aspects of the Magnolia Days Festival is the Family Fun Zone. Your kids will have an absolute blast, and even that is an understatement. You’ll find all of the classic like inflatable games, a dunking booth, and carnival games, as well as some unique attractions like a petting zoo, mechanical bull, and train rides.
Excited yet? We sure are. Join the Cavender Chevrolet Buick GMC team at this year’s Magnolia Days Festival!
