Eclectic Talent

The Rick Cavender Band has accumulated a long list of songs over their 30 years of experience. Now featuring more than 200 tunes, their songbook reaches back through decades and across numerous genres, while they clearly enjoy the rock ‘n roll music of the 1950s, ‘60s, and ‘70s. Over the course of their set, the band might play through hits by bands like The Eagles, The Beatles, or The Rolling Stones, as well as singers like Roy Orbison. The work of these trailblazers shares setlist space with more recent acts and Country artists like Alan Jackson and George Strait as well. The Rick Cavender Band loves to explore different genres, and they might even tune-up for a Tejano song or Cumbia dance number.

The Cavender Connection

Even as the Rick Cavender Band has performed for thousands around San Antonio and beyond, many Texans will also recognize Rick from his dutiful role within our community’s automotive industry. Rick has been part of our Cavender Auto Family since 1980, helping Texas drivers meet all their automotive needs, and he’s now the president of a popular dealership in San Antonio. His charisma and kindness are essential qualities in the auto showroom, and they’re evident every time Rick and his band take the stage as well.
